It’s been great fun to build the series since then, and we heartily thank all the teachers and students who have supported our work over the years. Young Grittleton 2018

We’ve written a new string ensemble piece to be played and first performed at this chamber music summer course for string players aged 11-18. Full details of this great course here. Our piece, called Preparation and Flight, will be performed at the end of Week 2 on 10th August.

Music Education Award

We were delighted to receive the Jacquie Bugeja Award for Significant Contribution to Music Education in Oxfordshire and Beyond from Oxfordshire County Music Service at a special award ceremony in Oxford on 23 September. Many thanks to Head of Service Angela Turton and all who supported us and for a lovely evening!

We’ve added new accompaniments to three more pieces in Fiddle Time Scales 1, Viola Time Scales and Cello Time Scales: string duet accompaniments for Sweet Betsy from Pike and A bit of Bach, and a piano accompaniment to I gotta play those fiddle (or viola or cello) blues.
